Spring Update

Judging by the recent warmer weather it looks as if Spring might finally be on its’ way and we are now planning ahead for what looks like a very busy Summer.

If you have yet to book the flowers for your wedding then do please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.

On this note you may wish to attend our Bridal Flower Open Day which will take place on Saturday 5th April at our premises in Horndean from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm. This will provide you with an opportunity to see a range of cut flowers suitable for weddings as well as Bridal arrangements. Our team will be on hand all day to discuss any queries you may have or offer advice on flowers which would suit your wedding.

For full details please see our Events page

This Sunday – 23rd March – we will also be exhibiting at the PMN Wedding Fayre at The Holiday Inn, Fareham so if you are planning to attend this event do drop by our stand.

Back in December we supplied the flowers for the wedding of the daughter of a long standing customer and friend of Bridal Flowers Direct. Following the wedding we received the following testimonial from Ailsa the Bride. As you will see from the photos it was a wonderfully happy day and the flowers complimented the colour scheme perfectly – contrary to popular belief it is possible to find flowers to tie in with teal!

I couldn’t recommend Sally and her team more highly. When I went for the planning visit, I had some idea of what I wanted and brought some examples of colours but Sally took it to a whole new level and I left so excited as I knew she had really understood what I wanted. When the flowers arrived they were stunning – and such perfect colours, they really made the day perfect. Thank you 🙂

We recently supplied the flowers for the wedding of Jo & Paul which took place at Hill Place in Swanmore and have just received this testimonial from Jo. Photos from this wedding to follow

Just a quick note to thank you so much for all our lovely flowers, there was enough for 3 large vases and they lasted ages.

The bouquet, buttonholes and corsages looked amazing.

Jo & Paul

Spring flowers were the choice for a wedding which took place at the Tithe Barn, Ditcham and, as you will see from the photos below, the colours truly reflected the first sunny Saturday in months.

Happy New Year to you all and especially to all the Brides and their families who are planning weddings in the coming months.

It is looking as if it is going to be an extremely busy year for us and we are looking forward to supplying all the Brides who are already booked with us. If you have still to organise the flowers for your wedding do get in touch with us either by phone, email or by completing the online enquiry form.

We are always delighted to receive testimonials from Brides we have supplied and here are just a few of the more recent ones:-

Hi Clare,
Flowers eventually arrived and were beautiful. You’d also perfectly judged the numbers of flowers I needed for what I wanted to do. I think I finished the last arrangement with one carnation, a small section of chrysanthemum and a few pieces of Gypsophilia to spare.
Many thanks, Fiona

Hi Sally,

Thanks so much for providing our wedding flowers. They were so beautiful. You really saved my bacon offering such gorgeous blooms at wholesale prices as well as offering a make-up service. I had originally intended to do it all myself – what madness! I know Mum has already been in touch to express her appreciation of your fine quality flowers.

Thanks again for everything.
With all good wishes,
Rosie C

Dear Sally

I am just writing to thank you for the absolutely stunning flower arrangements that you created for me in such little time for my wedding on the 16th December. I was delighted with the size of the roses and the overall look they created at the venue. Every arrangement including the bridesmaid combs totally exceeded my expectations and I am so glad you were able to provide our wedding flowers. I will absolutely recommend you in nay way I can.

Many thanks again – I just can’t express how delighted we were

With best wishes

B & C

We were particularly pleased to receive the above testimonial as the Bride and Groom live in Norway so the whole booking process from initial enquiry to the delivery of the flowers was carried out by email and we never actually met the Bride. The wonders of modern technology and just proves that anything is possible no matter the distances involved!

We are also always delighted to receive photographs taken by the official photographer on the wedding day. Below are just a sample of some of those we have been sent – a big thank you to all the Brides & Grooms who sent them in and to the photographers for allowing us to display their photographs

Bridal Open Day Flyer November 2013

From traditional white flowers for last months Civil Partnership of Sharon & Keeley to autumnal shades arranged in pumpkins for last weekend’s Kirdford Barn wedding of Georgina and Kieran, the team at Bridal Flowers Direct are still busy and the weddings supplied are reflecting the changes in seasons.

The photographs below are just some of the images we have from recent late Summer and early Autumn weddings all of which we hope will inspire those Brides looking to choose the flowers for their own wedding day.

Please do not forget our Bridal Flower Open Day which takes place at our premises in Horndean on Saturday 23rd November and will provide an opportunity for further inspiration as well as a chance to chat to members of the team.

(please see EVENTS page for full details and to download a flyer)

Judging by the recent testimonials we have received (see TESTIMONIALS page) our flowers are still continuing to delight and we have already taken bookings for 2014 from guests and relatives who have attended weddings we have supplied.

East Dean Village Hall Wedding

Bridal Flowers Direct were delighted to supply the flowers for the wedding of Sarah Baudains (née Griffiths) which took place on Saturday 27th July 2013 at Petersfield Registry Office followed by a reception at East Dean Village Hall.

Whilst the Bridal Party Arrangements were made by us, Sarah arranged her own venue flowers with the help of willing family members.

Following the wedding Sarah sent us the following message –

 Hi Clare,

Apologies for this being rather delayed, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for doing the flowers for our wedding on 27th July. They all looked beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for anything more!

We’re still waiting for our professional photos but I would be happy to send you some of the flowers once we have them if you’d like.

 Thanks again,

New Forest Wedding

Rhinefield House in the New Forest was the setting for the wedding of Jason & Katie. The Bride and Groom had selected a Maritime Theme to tie in with their honeymoon of a Mediterranean Cruise. The Bridesmaids were wearing Teal dresses so flowers in shades of cream and pale yellow were chosen to compliment this colour scheme.

On our arrival at Rhinefield House, the Brides Father was busy setting up the rope on the gallery overlooking the ceremony room from which our arrangements were then hung.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Guidon and we look forward to seeing the official photographs soon

WOW – What a Testimonial

Having featured the wedding of Russell and Jemma on our blog a few weeks ago we were delighted to receive this email from Jemma

Hi Sally and the team at Nursery Fresh

Now that Russ and I are back from our honeymoon we wanted to get in touch to say Thank You so much for the flowers you supplied and those you arranged for our wedding at Gate Street Barn on Monday 8th July 2013.

Flowers were one of the most important things on our wedding list must haves. I really wanted them to make an impact and add to the rustic countryside setting we had chosen for our wedding. Each and every meeting with you Sally was a pleasure. You really listened to my ideas and your suggestions matched the image I had in my head perfectly. You were also willing to work with the ideas I had to incorporate herbs into my bouquet, create unique and individual buttonholes for the men and use rustic twine to tie them with.

The trial bouquet was one of the best decisions we made in regards to flowers as it allowed me to make tweaks to the flowers we eventually used and how they were styled. It also allowed us to trial the table centrepieces we would eventually make and take photos to give you an idea of the overall style of the day I was aiming to achieve. This truly cemented in my mind that the relaxed English country garden style of flowers were right for us, the venue and our wedding day.

The Saturday before our wedding we came to collect the beautiful flowers we would be arranging and filled the back of a Land Rover Discovery. You kindly let us borrow the flower buckets which were a godsend considering the mini-heatwave we experienced. Russ admitted that he was surprised by how many flowers there were but once arranged and in position at the venue they really made the decoration of the barn and created the impact I was looking for. We had so many lovely comments from our guests about the beautiful flowers it really meant a lot.

On Monday morning you arrived bright and early with my bouquet, the buttonholes and corsages and the outside barn archway arrangements. Everything looked fantastic and just as we had discussed. There was never any doubt that you would deliver and I was confident in choosing you as our supplier. You also stayed to help Russ and Andy attach the archway arrangements ensuring that everything looked perfect for our special day which meant a great deal.

Our flowers lasted well beyond the wedding day itself and it was a shame that we were leaving on honeymoon without getting to enjoy them for longer. The arrangements and my bouquet were distributed amongst family and friends who were able to enjoy them for a week after the wedding day itself.

We would highly recommend Nursery Fresh to other couples and wish you every success for the future. I will also look for any opportunity to work with you again such was the enjoyment I took from our meetings and the final beautiful flowers we received.

Many Thanks

Russ & Jem

(The New Mr & Mrs Ingram)

ps – just saw your feature on the website – thank you so much for the kind write-up! I was expecting a few photos and nothing else! We expect our photos by the beginning of September and will certainly share some with you.

Idsworth Church and Hollybank House Wedding

Idsworth Church and Hollybank House, Emsworth were the settings for the wedding of Alastair and Sarah.

As the Bride and Groom were not arriving in the UK from their home in the United States until the week of the wedding, transatlantic emails between the Bride and Bridal Flowers Direct had to suffice for the design and supply of all the arrangements. However, the photographs of the end results prove that modern technology can be successfully used when a face to face consultation is not possible.

Sarah was adamant that she wished all the flowers to reflect the country setting of the wedding location whilst keeping to her white and green theme.

The photographs below show the delivery and set up of all the arrangements at the Church and Marquee.

Our congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Callender who have promised us more photographs of their wedding day in the near future.

Easter Wedding

A beautiful sunny Good Friday morning greeted us as we arrived at Farbridge to set up the wedding of Andy & Jess. The Bride and Groom had chosen a selection of mixed country flowers to tie in with the rustic setting of their wedding.

The photos below were taken during the set up and we have been promised photos of the Bridal party with their flowers in due course.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Knight on their marriage.
