On a blistering hot July day, we attended the wedding of our very own Tasha and her fiancé Adam
Tasha and Adam held their wedding in the grounds of the farm of a family friend and Tasha’s meticulous planning and attention to detail was evident throughout the day
Tasha had chosen flowers in a selection of pale peachy pinks and mint greens to tie in with the colours of the Bridesmaid’s and Flower Girl’s dresses
Beautiful loose and natural hand tied bouquets of David Austin ‘Charity’ Roses, ‘Ador Avalanche’ Roses, ‘Galina’ & ‘Bombastic’ Spray Roses, green Lisianthus, white Astilbe, Thlaspi Green Bell, berried Eucalyptus Populus & Rosemary were carried by the Bride and her adult Bridesmaids whilst her Flower Girl carried a wand decorated with the same flowers and wore a hair circlet of Rosemary and Waxflower. Tasha wore a hair crown of ‘Galina’ & ‘Bombastic’ Spray Roses, Thlaspi Green Bell, Rosemary & berried Eucalyptus Populus foliage
Milk churns with a selection of the same flowers plus white Delphiniums, white Larkspur and ‘Wedding Rose’ Roses were placed at the head of the aisle with the Bride and Groom stood in front of an arch decorated with the same flowers and foliage. Beer bottles filled with flowers were placed on log slices beside hay bales along the length of the aisle
The tables in the marquee were decorated with central table runners of Eucalyptus Nicholi and berried Eucalyptus Populus, Rosemary and Soft Ruscus interspersed with clusters of flowers to match the Bridal Party Flowers. Hoops of the same foliage were hung from the ceiling of the marquee and a step ladder and wooden crates decorated with flower filled bottles provided further decoration
The wedding cake was dressed with Roses and Eucalyptus and placed on a large wooden log slice
Despite the intense heat it was the most amazing day from start to finish and we wish Tasha and Adam every future happiness

Apologies for the lack of recent posts but we seem to have been swept off our feet all Summer ……..
Whilst we spend most of the summer months putting together Bridal Party and Venue arrangements for Brides who wish to take advantage of our full wedding service there are some Brides who wish to be more creative and ‘hands on’ with their wedding flowers so ask us to supply just the flowers they require. In these cases, we are always happy to offer any advice needed regarding flower varieties and the quantities which are likely to be required to create their arrangements.
Lorna was one such Bride, who in August 2015, put together all the arrangements for her wedding and it is lovely to see we have been mentioned in an article on the blog of Whimsical Wonderland Weddings. Please click on the link below to see pictures from the wedding and to read the lovely comments from Lorna.
If you are a DIY Bride looking to make all or some of your wedding flower arrangements do get in touch. If you only wish to make your venue arrangements, we are happy to quote for making the Bridal Party Arrangements which may alleviate some of the stress!!
It is always lovely to receive testimonials from our Brides but to see us mentioned in a wedding blog is very special.
We supplied the flowers for the wedding of Vanessa and James at Gate Street Barn, Surrey last August and Vanessa had been a regular blogger on ‘So You’re Getting Married’ in the lead up to her wedding.
In her final post, written after her wedding, Vanessa praised the work of many of the suppliers she had hired for her wedding and we are delighted to have been included

Last Summer we had the pleasure of working with Amy and Sarah, her Mother, as they planned the flowers for Amy and Harry’s August wedding in a marquee on a farm. Sarah wished to arrange all the venue flowers herself but they asked us to make up the Bridal Party flowers. The brief was to use flowers which would fit in with the rustic setting of the wedding and to create arrangements which looked as if they had just been picked from the surrounding countryside. One additional request was that the buttonholes should include feathers from Amy and Harry’s chickens! We are happy to accommodate all requests here at Bridal Flowers Direct!
The stunning photographs taken by Sarah Wenban Photography highlight how beautifully all the flowers tied in with the setting and theme of the wedding and we hope they will inspire those of you who are planning a similar style wedding.
Following the wedding we received this lovely email from Sarah –
Hi Sally and Clare,
We really should have got back to you earlier but just to say we had the most amazing day in August. Amy and I thought you might like some pictures to show how fabulous your flowers were. We had a lovely day with a perfect setting and great weather.
Thank you so much for all your help and advice – it really helped to create the impression of ‘one of those weddings in a magazine’ as one of our guests stated!!
Mum of the bride
Last Saturday was our Bridal Flower Open Day which was attended by in excess of 50 Brides / Grooms and their families. We were inundated with enquiries and now have a busy few weeks compiling quotes and meeting with couples who booked appointments for consultations with us. It was lovely to see so many people and we were also delighted to be joined by local companies Eliza Mabel, Queen Bees Treats, Carro’s Cakes, Hana Venn Photography and Quaint and Quirky Event Hire who all loved being part of the day.
Our Bridal Flower Open Days are a great opportunity to view an extensive range of Bridal Party and Venue Arrangements and a wide range of cut flowers suitable for weddings. Feedback from those who attended was that it is so useful to be able to see flowers ‘in the flesh’ so to speak and to be able to look at and hold bouquets of differing sizes and shapes.
We are grateful to all those who attended the Open Day but if you were unable to make it, our next one will take place on Saturday 28th March 2015.
In the meantime here are just a few pictures from last weekend
Always lovely to receive photographs from our Brides and here are a few from a wedding in July. Stunning photographs courtesy of ASRPHOTO Portrait & Wedding Photography.
Following the wedding, the Bride’s Mother sent us this lovely email –
Just to say that the flowers on Saturday were absolutely perfect! They complemented the colours of the dresses and our garden by the sea beautifully. I have sent just a few photos to show you but there are many more lovely ones………
Many thanks to you and Clare and all the other girls”
Followed by an email from the Bride accompanying the photographs –
“As mum has previously said, thank you so much for our beautiful flowers. They were exactly what we envisaged and were really beautiful! I was quite sad to throw my bouquet!!”
If we have supplied your wedding this year and you have yet to send us some photographs please do so.
As we draw breath from an extremely busy weekend in which we supplied flowers to 10 weddings and prepare ourselves for another busy week just a few photographs which we thought we would share with you.
Starting with some of the bouquets – all in varying colours which proves we can supply flowers to suit all colour schemes and themes.
And some very pretty buttonholes, corsages, wands and hair circlets
And finally some stunning venue arrangements
We were delighted to take part in a recent photo shoot which took place in the grounds of Titchfield Great Barn, an up and coming wedding venue near Fareham, Hampshire. The photo shoot was a collaboration of local businesses working together to show case their own particular products or services as well as providing inspiration for anyone planning a similar themed wedding or event.
In keeping with the theme of the event – ‘Rustic, Spring, French Style’ we made a selection of bouquets and table arrangements in shades of yellow, cream and white. By combining Spray Roses, Stocks, Tanacetum Daisies, Craspedia and Gypsophila with lovely silver grey Eucalyptus leaves we were able to create arrangements which truly reflected both the theme of the photoshoot and the rustic setting of the Barn. We also supplied the bicycle props which looked stunning decorated with a selection of the same flowers as did all our vintage style bottles which when filled with flowers are always perfect for events at a setting such as this.
We think you will agree the end results are stunning and highlight the talented wedding suppliers this area has to offer.
