If you are looking for inspiration for winter wedding flowers then look no further than these beautiful photographs courtesy of Fiona Mills Art Photography taken at the wedding of Geoff & Jess at the beginning of November. The couple were married at Chichester Baptist Church followed by a reception at Southend Barns and all the flowers were chosen to tie in with their ‘elegant vintage Jane Austen’ themed wedding and the navy blue dresses worn by the Bridesmaids. White Anemones and Lisianthus were combined with ivory Garden Roses, blue Eryngium (thistles), Silver Brunia, Senecio and Eucalyptus foliage to create all the Bridal Party, Church and Venue Arrangements.
It is always a pleasure when we are sent photographs from a wedding we have supplied and this wedding was no exception. Katie and Liam were married on a gloriously sunny 4th July at their local church followed by a reception in a marquee in her parent’s garden. With Bridesmaids wearing lemon dresses, Katie wished to keep all the flowers white and picked Hydrangeas to compliment the time of year and the garden setting of their wedding reception. The flower girls carried bouquets of Gypsophila and wore matching hair circlets.
Venue flowers were kept simple with jugs of white Hydrangeas in the centre of each of the tables and clusters of Hydrangea filled jam jars along the top table.

Some beautiful photographs taken by the very talented Hana Venn Photogrpahy at our recent Bridal Flower Open Day of our work plus some of the products of Eliza Mabel, Queens Bees Treats, Carros Cakes and Creative Wedding Workshop. We hope you will enjoy the photos and that they will provide inspiration to any of you planning your own wedding
If you are planning a white themed wedding then these photographs from Sharon’s wedding at Old Thorns Manor Hotel last July may provide you with inspiration. Whilst Sharon chose Avalanche Roses and Gypsophila for the Bridal Party arrangements, to compliment the emerald green dresses worn by the Bridesmaids, the table arrangements consisted of tall vases filled with white Oriental Lilies which created a stunning look in the Grand Ballroom where the reception following their ceremony took place
Following her wedding, Sharon wrote this lovely review of our services –
“I would highly recommend Bridal Flowers Direct – From the build up, the actual day and even after my wedding. Sally made me feel like I was her only client (which I clearly wasn’t), They provided my 10 bridesmaid bouquets, my bouquet, 10 button holes, 13 centre pieces and additional flowers for the ceremony. Each stem was perfect and arranged beautifully to make my venue and photos perfect and better than I had imagined.”
Last Saturday was our Bridal Flower Open Day which was attended by in excess of 50 Brides / Grooms and their families. We were inundated with enquiries and now have a busy few weeks compiling quotes and meeting with couples who booked appointments for consultations with us. It was lovely to see so many people and we were also delighted to be joined by local companies Eliza Mabel, Queen Bees Treats, Carro’s Cakes, Hana Venn Photography and Quaint and Quirky Event Hire who all loved being part of the day.
Our Bridal Flower Open Days are a great opportunity to view an extensive range of Bridal Party and Venue Arrangements and a wide range of cut flowers suitable for weddings. Feedback from those who attended was that it is so useful to be able to see flowers ‘in the flesh’ so to speak and to be able to look at and hold bouquets of differing sizes and shapes.
We are grateful to all those who attended the Open Day but if you were unable to make it, our next one will take place on Saturday 28th March 2015.
In the meantime here are just a few pictures from last weekend
We simply could not wait another day to share this lovely testimonial and the accompanying stunning photographs sent into us recently by Kelly & Sam. Messages like this really do make us all feel so proud of all that we do
“My partner and I found Bridal Flowers Direct on a Google search, after speaking with several other florists. We had a clear vision of the type of them we wanted, and we had found it difficult to find a company that really understood This.
Our theme was ‘english country garden’ and we had decorated jam jars for individual flowers and candles. The idea was to have a sea of flowers across the top table.
I had originally ordered several different types of flowers from Bridal FlowersDirect, without really discussing it in depth (my mistake) so I was delighted to receive a phone call from Sally, advising us that the flowers we had chosen were not going to be the best choice for our theme. Sally then went on to advise what flowers would create the biggest impact, and I can honestly say that everything she advised was perfect. They really took an interest in the theme of our day, and offered invaluable advice that ensured that our special day, looked beautiful.
Bridal Flowers Direct will now be the only company I go to for flowers on a large scale… And I have recommended them to several people, as well as guests on the day who couldn’t compiment the flowers enough.
Staff were all friendly and helpful, and even pandered to my overbearing worrying about whether the flowers would ‘droop’ (which they didn’t for a whole week) which makes a big difference when you are a worried bride!!
Thank you once again Bridal Flowers Direct, for a gold star service & amazingly reasonable prices 🙂
Kelly & Sam”

Starting with some of the bouquets – all in varying colours which proves we can supply flowers to suit all colour schemes and themes.
And some very pretty buttonholes, corsages, wands and hair circlets
And finally some stunning venue arrangements

Flowers from one of our Autumn 2013 weddings have recently been featured on the Wedding Gateway blog – if you are looking for ideas for an Autumn wedding this is worth a visit
By complete contrast photographs of these pure white arrangements were taken at last weekend’s wedding at the Old Thorns, Hotel near Liphook. The simplicity of the Oriental Lilies in plain cylinder vases was stunning.
For her wedding at the Tithe Barn, Gemma selected a colour scheme of white and silver for the Bridal Party Arrangements and this was carried over into the venue arrangements for which we were asked to take into consideration the vast dimensions of this beautiful setting.
I think you will agree the end results were stunning!
Laura also selected primarily ivory flowers for her Upwaltham Barns wedding but introduced some fuchsia pink into the Ceremony Room flowers to reflect the colour of her Bridesmaid’s dresses. As Laura had six Bridesmaids she further utilised their bouquets by placing them in jugs on the tables in the Reception Room – a really good idea
